Agreement version:

Therapy Terms

Below is a clear summary of the terms of individual psychotherapy. These terms are based on the Psychotherapy Agreement we sign at the first session.

1. Parties

Client provides basic identification and contact details (full name, date of birth, address, email, phone).

Psychotherapist: Mgr. Martin Langpaul, psychotherapist in training (SUR), candidate member of the Czech Association for Psychotherapy.

2. Principles of individual psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is practical therapeutic work with the client. I work based on a depth psychodynamic training (SUR) and under regular supervision by an accredited supervisor.

The content of sessions is confidential. The only exception is supervision and intervision, where no personal data are disclosed.

3. Fees

  • Individual psychotherapy is provided as an in‑person, or online session between client and therapist.
  • Payment is made in cash or by bank transfer to account 2101679648/2010, no later than the day of the session.
  • The fee for a session is agreed during the first meeting based on the current price list published on the website. Any fee changes are communicated to the client with sufficient notice of at least 2 months.
  • If a session is cancelled less than 24 hours before the agreed time, the full fee is due.

4. Course of therapy

  • Sessions last 50 minutes, usually once a week or at another agreed frequency.
  • The number of sessions depends on the client’s topics, needs, and the therapist’s capacity.
  • The aim of therapy is not to direct the client; the client is seen as someone capable of finding their own potential and solutions.
  • The client’s topics are in their own hands; the therapist accompanies the process.
  • The psychotherapist is not a medical doctor and does not prescribe medication. If needed, cooperation with a doctor or another professional may be suggested.
  • Therapy is a longer‑term process. Change often comes gradually and results may not appear immediately.
  • If it becomes clear that another professional would be more appropriate, the client will be informed in a clear way.

Confidentiality

The psychotherapist guarantees discretion and confidentiality in line with personal data protection and the ČAP ethical code. Exceptions apply where there is a legal duty to report, and when a serious crime has been committed or is being planned that endangers the client or others.

Ending therapy

The client can end therapy at any time. Termination of therapy is carried out by mutual agreement. The therapist may also end therapy after consultation with the supervisor and the client.

During the psychotherapeutic process, the client has space to reflect on our work together.

5. Consent to personal data processing

The client gives consent to the processing of personal data provided within the psychotherapy cooperation solely for the purpose of providing psychotherapy services and maintaining the necessary administrative records. Personal data are processed in accordance with applicable law and the Privacy Policy. The consent can be withdrawn at any time.
